Yes Pro. Akosa is right, is cowards like him that Ghana has not moved on till now. Kwame Nkrumah did his part and he is history. We have had 1001 opportunities and resources to have better our lots but leaders and educators like Akosa have always hidden behind Nkrumah to find excuses why they are not performing. Emmanuel Kotoka blamed Nkrumah that was why he overthrew him, so has every succeeding president blamed the previous one. No one wants to look forward and do something credible, rather, before any government resumes work, they already have reason to fail by blaming the woes of the country on the predecessors that is why we are where we are, not that we stopped thinking, that is dump idea. We have been thinking mostly by our leaders on how to dupe the nation and enrich themselves, that is the thinking they have been doing. Let’s appreciate the past and face our challenges squarely, accepting our weaknesses and humbling ourselves for help, uniting for the present while thinking about the posterity in the future, that is how we can get ourselves out from this seemingly, insurmountable predicament we are engulfed with: blame culture, self-first others nothing, power-drunk leaders without clear cut plans for development and so on and so forth. We are thinking but for all the wrong reasons just like yours, prof. Our learners folks have failed us big time, all the learners like you Prof. Akosa do is to brag for publicity with big words and counter productive utterances without creativity, great ideas or serious plans, that’s is why Ghana has been backwards – big titles but less ideas.
