Yes, a sigil is a symbol used in both magic and code-writing, but the fact that it also derives from a Latin word (sigillium) that means “seal”, it can be used to “seal a deal” with the other two words it happens to be related to: 1) royal signet; and 2) sacred segula- Hebrew: סגולה = code writing This means its principle function is that of a Royal decree, which is synonymous with a ‘Divine Patent’ in today’s terms, such as a ‘Bible Patent’ on a ‘Divine Invention’. That is, there are certain types of inventions that would be inconceivable without the ‘Intelligent Design’ of a ‘God-Constant’ source code.
