Yes love is our foundation not our theology. You do not study love you become it. God is love but love is not god. Think of this the cherubim cry in the throne room Holy, Holy, Holy not Love, Love, Love. We have built a religion out of our definition of love not his. The fear of The Lord is to hate what he hates and love what he loves. To build a foundation of love we must know his love. So we purify our love through soaking in his glory and abiding in intimacy. Through the abiding, his word cleanses our heart revealing the nature of God in us. And if you abide in me I will abide in you and I and my Father will make our abode in you - Jesus. Otherwise we make grace and love theology and we never put faith to our grace and love. Love looks like something and that is death to self.
