Yes, we won. All you guys that signed up, this was for you. This is for all the long hours with no sleep, the 24 hours spent without getting a chance to eat, the sacrifices you made with your health and to your families. This is for the continued disparity in pay and inequality in working conditions. This is recognition that you have never gotten for the skills you posses and the important job that you do. This win is as big as you guys want to make it. Louie, Smokey, Berardi, Schulte....they all knew they were saving a buck by screwing you guys. They have no respect for what you do and they do not appreciate the service you provide. They do not value your experience and tenure or the quality of work that comes along with it. This win is saying to them that WE...EMS, makes this Fire Department survive. We deserve to be compensated fairly and we demand that our working conditions be improved. Its up to you guys on what you will do with this. When your incompetent chief retaliates on you and makes your working conditions worse due to his loss.....will you roll over and take it or will you fight?? In the meantime....Enjoy. $$$$$$$$$
