#Yeson92 Dr. Ray Seidler, retired #EPA Senior Scientist, TV Ad. #GMO #GMOS #LabelGMOs #RightToKnow With less than three weeks to go until Election Day, the Yes on Measure 92 campaign has begun airing a new TV ad featuring Dr. Ray Seidler, a former senior scientist at the Environmental Protection Agency and one of the first scientists to research genetically engineered crops. The ad shows viewers that genetically engineered seeds and traditional seeds are very different. Dr. Seidler presents a bag of genetically engineered corn seeds coated blue with 5 different toxins that end up in our food. “The chemical companies making these seeds made Agent Orange and claimed it was safe too,” Dr. Seidler says in the ad. Without labeling of genetically engineered foods, there is no way of knowing whether the food you eat is grown from traditional seeds or ones engineered to tolerate higher doses of herbicides and pesticides. The new ad is part of a statewide advertising strategy intended to provide voters with the information they need to see through the cynical and misleading attacks in the multi-million dollar deceptive ad campaign run by the big agribusiness conglomerates and other corporations funding the anti-labeling effort.
