Yesterday (10/3) was a very special day for John and me. I did not share it on Facebook however. 28 years ago, John and I became parents for the very first time. Allen Thomas Davidson was born in Austin, TX at 10:06am. From the very first day Allen had dimples so deep you could swim in them; and he still has those gorgeous dimples. I am convinced his smile and those dimples was the way he was able to get out of a lot of trouble in high school. Allen is a lot more private than Alexandria Davidson and Ashley Davidson Still. Sadly enough, we arent as close as his sisters I were/are either. That is an honest statement. It is sad when your children grow up and they grow apart from you. Allen is definitely brilliant & book smart. It is in this area I would give anything to be just like him!!! If Einstein were alive today I know Allen would give him a run for his money. Allen is now a husband and a father. He and his wife, Catherine Davidson will celebrate their three year anniversary later this month. Their son, Aedan (which is also the most handsome grandson in the entire universe) turned one this past June. Aedan definitely inherited his daddys dimples. I will guarantee you now that the apple doesnt fall far from the tree and that those dimples will get Aedan out of a lot of trouble he may find himself in at school one day. Allen doesnt have Facebook; which is how I basically communicate. I hope one day he will though. He doesnt find it necessary and a nuisance. I dont know how some days I survive without it; but some days I wish it had never been invented. Allen, when (and if) you ever do have Facebook page, I hope you will find this post. I love you, I miss you, I hope we can someday find our way back to where we laughed together and cried together. May this coming year be filled with wonderful blessings and much happiness. Happy Birthday (again & officially on Facebook) little man. You will always be called that by your dad & I. I dont care if you are almost 67 - Mom
