Yesterday George Goard and I rode our traditional Fall dual-sport ride from Rocky Fork lake down through Shawnee forest. Since all of our friends were too busy/unavailable blah blah blah, it was just the two of us. We stopped for lunch at a little Mom & Pop restaurant on RT 52 along the Ohio river. George is a great friend and we had a great time on a perfect day. Dr. Z, my trusty old Suzuki DRZ 400, has been sulking in the corner of my garage for the last 4 months. Hes been neglected this season while Ive been going everywhere on Felix, my FJR 1300. Dr. Zs front forks were worn out- the chrome was gone from the fork tubes & they were starting to leak. I found like-new replacements on ebay in July, but didnt have time to put them on until this past week. Dr. Z really perked up when I gave him a bit of attention! He is 14 years old, and Ive had him for 8 years. I still cant think of a D-S bike I would rather have. Dr. Z is perfect!
