Yesterday, I THOUGHT I had left the YEC Group, but noticed I was - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, I THOUGHT I had left the YEC Group, but noticed I was still receiving updates from the YEC3 Astronomy Group. I tried leaving the YEC3, but the “Leave Group” button kept disappearing and I gave up trying. After noticing a discussion about ‘Galileo Was Wrong’ was occurring…I could NOT help myself and added my two cents worth. Ten minutes after my last comment, I didn’t have to try leaving anymore…Pincher kicked me like I knew he would! Here are the last entries: MIKE PINCHER: And I have a hunch that Galileo Was Wrong is in itself wrong in many aspects judging from arguments Ive seen on this board so far. 11 hrs • Like MARK WYATT: It is actually a very powerful research project. It surveys all the relevant literature and makes a very feasible case for geocentrism from science, Scriptures and doctrine. You ought to read it. The PDF version is very reasonable. 10 hrs • Like GERALD PECH: Mike (and all), I encourage you to purchase and read Galileo Was Wrong. We should take as a rule not to criticize a book without having read it. I know of a Christian physicist who had previously been an atheist and who became a Christian out of intellectual honesty. He had wanted to destroy the Bible, but he heard his conscience say, As a scientist and a professor, I would never allow myself to judge a theory and a book without having at least read it. Therefore he began to read the Bible, and the Lord revealed himself to him. Personally I have collected more than 6000 books on the creation/evolution controversy. I try to read every book available in whatever discipline. I have indeed committed myself to doing a thorough apologetic work. 9 hrs • Like MIKE PINCHER: Well I sure dont agree based on the way Scriptural passages have been butchered here. Whether Id want to invest in a 900 page work in an area called geocentrism that so far I am not impressed with is problematic. Having said that, I salute your industry, Gerald. Thats a hell of a lot of reading, though Im not sure that reading in that volume isnt really counterproductive. I do believe theres a point of supersaturation somewhat akin to the law of diminishing returns and certainly not all views are of equal merit. Theres a lot of separating the grain from the chaff that must accompany such an enterprise. But I do respect your ambition, Gerald. 8 hrs • Edited • Like MARK WYATT: Mike Pincher Volume I is strictly science. I would start there. In Vols II and III, you may have to do some work reconciling differences in theology (though if you take a literal view to Scripture, you may not have any issues in the Scriptural volume). Just as a research tool in itself it is worth the price. 43 mins • Unlike • 1 MIKE PINCHER: My personal feeling is youre giving that work far more credit than it deserves. Im going on our discourses here and other posts, of course, but I havent been impressed so far. Whats even my motivation? How is the issue of our placement in our universe better resolved geo rather than helio? 37 mins • Like ROD NAUGLER: Without YEC, we lose original sin and cascade to most of theology. Without geo, what do we lose, specifically? 35 mins • Like LEONARD BELISLE: Sadly, what I have noticed is that most if not all of the hostile Heliocentrists as well as the curious have read LITTLE if anything on Geocentricity...and almost universally refuse to do so when prodded to take advantage of relevant tomes like, Galileo Was Wrong ($20 CD) or Geocentricity 101 (200 page $15) Most of them would rather scribble and quibble on a thread without an ounce of research on the subject...and then demand to be personally spoon-fed like little babies to boot! If Evolution is the Trunk and Limbs of the TREE of LIES about Origins, then Heliocentrism was and is the rotten ROOT and foundation of that Satanically inspired “science, falsely so-called!” (1Tim 6:20) REMEMBER: There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all argument, and which cannot fail to keep man in everlasting ignorance. That principle is condemnation BEFORE investigation. - Edmund Spencer 11 mins • Like MIKE PINCHER: Save your breath, Leonard. Many of us have considered the issue far too much already. I notice most of the tirades and insults among the eventually removed ones here have come from the geos, so forget the little babies analogy. The shoe mostly fits with them. They constantly want their Gerber food. And hostile fits more on the geos end than the helios. Rod and I had a practical question and all you give us back is petty diatribe. 19 mins • Like LEONARD BELISLE: My diatribe was not for you, Pincher, it was to shame a few free-thinkers out there that havent said in their heart, dont bother me with the facts, Ive made up my mind. Adios... 7 mins • Like • 1 MIKE PINCHER: Youre just a misfit, through and through. Im giving you your walking papers. And THAT they say...is the REST of the STORY! ;)
