Yesterday, I by accident watched a TV programme of the BBC channel. It discussed the economic growth and wealth of the UK that rely too much on the capital, London. It said 80% of jobs in the private sector was here in London alone and every year the vast number of young people were gravitated to this city to pursue their career and financial goals which could not be achieved in their home cities. This has resulted in the significant rise of housing prices due to the higher demand of living places from the new arrivals adding up the population of the city. They said one of the benefits of the trend was that the jobs in the city were filled by the talented of the country and some from abroad. Would it be better to distribute the investment more to other cities so that there are more high-paying jobs available outside the capital? asked the conductor of the discussion as the last sentence of the programme. I think it is alike throughout the world. In Thailand, I would say it is Bangkok. During the programme, some people interviewed both currently living in London and outside said it was just about the life style and the citys atmosphere that attract some people to work here. I think some kinds of jobs need to be in the urban area while some other kinds of jobs dont. It is the same as business. After all, I think .... I will stick to my standard of living as complaining earlier :D :D :D Money is a big thing, but it is not everything.
