Yesterday I drove to Ofakim, a small town a 100 Km south of Tel Aviv to check a patient. Some bazooka bombs and missiles fall in the area in the meantime, coming in from the Gaza strip, 20 Km away to the west. Today from a few drops it has become a rain. I hear in the radio that as always in this cases, the reason is that there is a danger that the peace talks with the Palestinians should advance and Hamas is not happy with the developments. Another probable reason is that Israel is going to release in a few days some convicted Palestinian criminals (those called freedom fighters or murderers of civilians if you do not use euphemistic names from BBC origins) and that is also bad news for Hamas. A friend of mine proposed to me to move the town more to the east but the eastern border is 25 Km away! So you have to stay put and suffer the missiles. Considering the silence of the international well meaning Media, we may respond militarily and every peace loving friend will say that we are aggressors. I am getting tired of this kind of friends.
