Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend an event in recognition of National Minority Health Month at Cafe 611 organized by Elizabeth Chung, Linda Norris for Frederick County Council at Large, and the Asian American Center of Frederick in conjunction with the Frederick County Minority Outreach and Technical Assistance program. The groups recognized unsung heroes making strides in minority health education and service and there were beautiful performances from many different cultures. It made me feel proud to live in a community where there is so much good work being done on behalf of our citizens!
