Yesterday I had the privilege of serving my community by eating pie. In fact, I sampled 10 different pies as one of three judges in the 2014 Bake-Off. Its a tough job but someone has to do it. First I delivered 2 of Lindas (she was not able to attend) pies to the contest. Only one could be entered. The other was offered for sale whole to help raise money. Criteria included appearance, crust, filling and overall experience rated on a 1-10 scale. A slice of each pie, only identified by number, was presented to the judges. Lindas pie won by a short margin. I accepted the award. Awkward. She earned it. Fair and square. Shes a good baker. I can understand skepticism. And good natured kidding. Bring it!
