Yesterday I met the one of the futures of residential power - TopicsExpress

Yesterday I met the one of the futures of residential power generation in the NZ residential space. And its bad news with a big orange [e] for the existing electricity infrastructure. Yesterday, I met a VP from Enphase USA, at the Auckland Museum Enphase installation. I have seen the prototype (mock up) of the 5th generation 275W Micro Inverter with bi-directional inverter functionality, a big (relatively) increase in efficiency, with modular AC Lithium Battery storage (picture shown) and other smart software features that will allow Enphase Micro Inverters to operate in Grid Connect, Off Grid and Hybrid mode. I believe I have seen the writing on the wall for the New Zealand grid in the residential space. Yes, big words I know, but I have seen it with my own eyes. These are things that are already in the public domain and I can assure you Enphase are working on projects beyond this already. I asked to take photos but was declined. If you look at the Enphase link this information was released at the Solar Technology International conference in Las Vegas recently. Enphase have a skunk works development centre in Christchurch where the technology for the current M215 and M250 micro inverters was developed. Yay Kiwis for a change! I was also told that in Hawaii 45% of the solar energy supplied to the grid was via Enphase technology, and in fact Enphase is the biggest utility in Hawaii. enphase/mahalohawaii/ If interested in this technology please have a look at the video and animation below, it is happening. enphase/energy-management-system/ If you want an Enphase system, enphase/au/ Give me an email [email protected], I would like to give you a quote.
