Yesterday I presented 5 thesis proposals to my tutor(take that).. and of course, reviewing the one I really wanted to pursue she says: this is tricky, it all depends on if you´re gonna continue this research at a doctorate level..... think about it and let me know... --hmmm, quick calculation: másters; 1-2 yrs~~DSc. 2-3 WITH transferred credits...DAMN --Got me thinking.... we spend all this time chasing degrees, Reading, analysing, manipulating information; our fuel being that desire to be recognized in our respective field, to be published, to be rich(obviously). --And I ask... Do we scholars ever REALLY enjoy our youth! we spend most, if not our entire 20´s at school, racking our brains, our health is unstable, don´t even talk about our pschycological state.... --at what point in time are we gonna sit and actually enjoy the fruits of this seemingly never ending struggle.....DAMN - Tough Decision
