Yesterday I received emails from two of the mothers who were in the classroom of Tiffanie Rushton, who has been accused of plagiarism. It appears that the sock puppets that she created to sell her books and attack others were named after the third-grade students in her classroom, so the mothers wanted me to remove their names from the list of sock puppets that Rushton was using on the web. Unfortunately, this means that we need to remove the names of all the sock puppets, since they were all children in her class. Also last week, we confirmed that another person was a victim of plagiarism. This time it was a wounded war vet whose essay on how he developed PTSD after being blown up was taken and used as the opening of a novel.
