Yesterday, I reported tag 209 had been killed. Happily, I was wrong! Sadly, she was killed today, along with 3 more inmates! This is going to be a sad week. We only have a day remaining to get a lot of inmates out! We really need to see more sponsors! Full and partial sponsors, or voucher sponsors save lives! Saturday, when CACC opens at 10AM, we will have 38 inmates eligible for a pardon! And, we currently, also, have 14 processed inmates in holding tonight. That means we have 52 inmates sleeping in jail tonight. I do know that Sally was trying to find enough volunteers to have an offsite on Friday and Saturday to help relieve the overcrowding. We can only hope that she was successful and that there will be no more additions before opening on Saturday morning. We got our quarantined cell back, so we have 40 cells available again. But, with 52 inmates now, I really do not see us making it to next Tuesday without any losses! Right now, the staff have them doubled up, spread out and everywhere they can put them. But, if we can get more volunteers, then we can save more inmates! If you can find a couple hours to help with the inmates at an offsite, please fill out the profile request at the end of this report! Every one is dearly needed! Sally is trying to convince the Director to allow us to have a volunteer offsite every Monday when the facility is closed! I got involved a bit with trying to help coordinate some cooperation between City departments. The very best thing we can do to help her, and the inmates, is to complete the volunteer profiles! Please help! I will again, put the Killed, Escaped and Overall Reports in the Happy Trails Of Columbus GA. Archive Album, after posting them here!
