Yesterday I shot a basketball game (11u Tournament) using the Fuji - TopicsExpress

Yesterday I shot a basketball game (11u Tournament) using the Fuji X-T1 and 56mm f/1.2 and today I shot another game using a Nikon D810 with 70-200mm f/2.8 and the difference was noticeable. While The X-T1 performed surprisingly well, Everything was simply faster with the D810 (and it is not a sports shooter), from the AF performance to the shot to shot times, etc... Both times I shot at ISO 1600 and the D810 also performed better there too. Maybe it is a lack of skills on my part but I find shooting basketball games with a dlsr to be a better experience, at least for the moment. I am sure mirrorless technology will step up to the challenge and come up with something that can be considered an action/sports shooter. I also cant wait to try out the upcoming Fuji XF-50-140mm f/2.8. (hint hint to Fuji Ph, maybe you like to loan me a copy :P hehehe) Its hard to concentrate on the shoot when you are involved in the games personally. But the benefit is I get to shoot from the bench. :P
