Yesterday I solved an important problem that troubles the sleep of Australians. Why is there no dark chocolate on any ice-cream on a stick product.at Coles? There is none. There are over sixty portable ice-cream products, and only one - Maxibon or something, one of those biscuit things has dark chocolate, yet dark chocolate is traditional on ice-cream cones. So at the opening of the new Coles Footscray, I ran into a Lady With A Clip Board who was obviously from head office and was able to ask her. She turned out to be The Ice Cream Woman. Thats right. What she decides affects what is available at Coles and that affects what is available nationally, since Coles buys half of all the ice cream. It turns out that Coles wasnt happy that dark chocolate falls off ice creams, which as you know, it always does. So they stopped selling dark chocolate ice-cream altogether while their suppliers try to come up with a dark chocolate that sticks to the ice creams. Which is expected to start appearing in the stores next year. I suspect that the new, improved dark chocolate will taste as bad as the Milk Chocolate That Sticks, but until then you wont be able to buy any dark chocolate product and so youll take all of your shopping to Aldi, which at least has ONE.
