Yesterday I took my sweet Yorkie Destin to Dr. Mike Pasley (our vet for the 12 years that Dessie and I have shared together). After Destin and I were called back into an Exam Room, I immediately heard at least two women crying ~ I mean like crying ~ uncontrollably. Their 15 year old dog that was paralyzed and experiencing lots of pain and other issues was about to be put down. Mike talked to them with so much compassion and love, yet told them very professionally what he felt was the best thing to do for their precious dog. I did not know these people, but I wanted to go over to their room and hug them, cry with them, and show that I cared; however, I knew that I really should not do that. These ladies needed to spend their last moments holding their pet and telling him how much they loved him in privacy. I just thought I was not having a very good week with some other issues going on besides Destin being sick. My heart goes out to these people, and I am praying for them. God knows who they are. Mike was teary eyed whenever he came in to check my Destin. DR. MIKE PASLEY ROCKS!
