Yesterday I took the pitch for the first time with some new friends in a mens soccer league. They were very excited to have me, gave me 2 uniforms and soccer shoes for free, and I wanted to make a good first impression. After several pats on the back and a reassuring Go on, lad! from the Captain, I made my Chinese debut. I drank the night before, and I also havent run since I was at school. I made one play the length of the field and was set up for a close blocked volley. Then I ran off to the side and lost my breakfast all over the fence. Game time elapsed: ~5 minutes. Gathered myself and told the captain I felt like a new man and that I could go back in. After another few plays and runs, I again found the fence and thoroughly grossed everyone out. Game time elapsed: ~6 min. Then because Im both stubborn and stupid, another new man thinking third times the charm, right? went out there and did it again. Hows that for a first impression?
