Yesterday, I was able to handle myself as a competitive athlete should. Why? Because I slept a total of 15 hours the previous 2 nights and worked a total of just 9 hours between Saturday and Sunday morning/early afternoon. This year, I have yet to sleep more hours in a week than I have worked so it feels to good to sleep more than work. Anyways, here is what I did yesterday: Workout #1: 1:45-2:45 1 round play with Romeo 1 round shadowbox 4 rounds on heavy bag 1 round play with Romeo 4 rounds on heavy bag 1 round play with Romeo 4 rounds of serious shadow of Lunch: 1 and a half pounds of vegetables (mostly broccoli and peppers) with 6 oz. of wild salmon Walk Romeo for an hour in Frick park Workout #2: 6:15-7:45 *5 mins hip and shoulder mobility *Squat: bar x 10, 135x10, 185x5, 205x3, 245x3, 275x3, 305x3, 335x fail (I wanted to do 3 but I felt instability in my hips and low back so I dumped the weight), 315x3 and finished squats with 225 lbs. for 20 deep reps *Standing overhead barbell press bar x 10, 95x5, 115x5, 125x5, 95x15 *Bent over barbell row 135x10, 135x10, 135x15 reps *Dumbbell bench press 80s x 5, 85s x5, 85s x 5 *Pull downs 115x8, 130x8 and 145x8 *Side bends (for obliques and core) 5 sets of a 90 lb. dumbbell for 10 Reid each side *Dumbbell Snatches one arm 70x5 each arm and then 75x5 each arm *40 minutes on elliptical keeping my heart rate between 130-140 (level 10, resistance at 10) *5 mins hip and shoulder mobility *2 or 3 mins of stretching hamstrings only Dinner: 1 lb. of vegetables (Mediterranean blend of frozen vegetables from whole foods) and 1/2 lb. of ground lamb
