Yesterday I was pretty much a lone ranger when I said we dont need Cesc. My whole opinion on Cesc isnt completely based on what he did to leave us. I wouldve taken him back last season because we did have room for a top class playmaker but we got Ozil for 42 million and despite the fact he didnt really set things on fire last season I believe he would definitely be a force to reckon with next season. Mark my words. Cazorla is a very very good back up for Ozil and is at the peak of his powers. Part of the problem is where would we play him? Most would say that hes an upgrade on Arteta and would be paired up with Ramsey. Whats the use of it though? Fabregas is not a DM nor is Ramsey. Fabregas is zero defensively which means Ramsey would spend more time in the defensive third and not in the attacking one. What if we come up against proper opposition against whom we cant play our possession based game? Wed look hopeless as wed have no ball winners and would get rolled over. Same problem if we have to face counter attacks. There are also some people who say that he can play as a striker. Right, there is a reason the formation was called 4-6-0 when he was played as a striker for Spain. Cesc is a world class playmaker. He was magical for us when he was at Arsenal and he has been pretty good for Barca too but to completely flip on priorities just because of him is completely baffling. We have to spend 25 million just for the sake of it on Cesc just because and seriously, just because we dont want him to go to ManUre or Chelshit or Man Shitty? All these years, world class players have come and weve passed them by even though they were exactly what we needed. If we needed another playmaker all this while, why didnt we get Mata for 40 something million from Chelsea in January? If we had such a penchant for world class players why did we get Gervinho from Lille instead of Hazard? There are many such cases of us not even trying for world players and now were talking about Fabregas, the type of player we dont require. We have no problems creating chances. Ozil was the highest creator of chances in Europe. Everything Ive heard on here, its really making me feel like you all just want Cesc for the sake of it. I havent even gotten an answer to Why we need Cesc? What happens to the likes of Crowley, Zelalem?
