Yesterday, I washed 4 6-foot shelves of cobalt glassware and old glass candy containers. I cleaned 21 oil lamps that fill the top of an old commercial ice box in our kitchen and a few odds and ends of other glassware. Today, I tackled the great room. I began with 5 built-in shelves - (1) Carnival glass; (2) and (3) - Crystal Iris and Herringbone, along with two pitcher and glass sets, one of which was given to my parents as a wedding present; (4) Crystal Wedding Pattern; and (5) - Goofus (sp.?) Glass. Next, a small china cabinet with several old family pieces and other old patterns. Then there was one china cabinet filled with angels and another one filled with Marigold Iris and Herringbone. I believe I counted 25 oil lamps cleaned today. A few of these have been converted and are used for lighting. Others are just collected (dust!). Everything looks so clean and shiny! Hope it will stay that way through the holidays at least!
