Yesterday I went to the memorial of one of the best dudes Ive ever met. I didnt know him well enough, but the little I did give me a lot to love and admire. What a turnout! Holy SHIT. Hundreds of people with heavy hearts but heads filled with beautiful memories, and laughter and stories to share. We witnessed profound strength from his divine lady and family, and listened to stories of this amazing man who spent his lifetime wearing an armor of KINDNESS. While so many of us have grown up to dress ourselves in protective clothing to mask our pain and fears, this man did the exact opposite. He spread joy, laughter, madness, love and creativity wherever he went. George told everyone, daily, the most beautiful words in the world. I love you. And he meant them. The hundreds of people in that park yesterday knew that they were loved. What a gift. What a legacy. And so, as we trundle on in a world without a physical George, we can move forward asking ourselves, in every situation that bothers or pains us, or seems difficult, What would George do?
