Yesterday March 10 was the official start of the PDA National Election Campaign Period. I am one of two candidates in our party running for the position of Trustee for Visayas. Naturally our party TEAM PDA posted the complete slate of our candidates which had a summary of school graduated, positions held and rewards and recognitions received. Unfortunately, there were some typographical errors. I my case, the year attributed to my having been President of Cebu Dental Chapter was printed as 2005 instead as 1995. Consequently, the award as Most Outstanding Chapter President was 2006 instead of 1996. I would like to apologize to the officers and members of Cebu Dental Society for whatever anxiety or surprise it may have caused. Rest assured there was no malice or conscious intent to cause such error to occur. I sincerely apologized in particular to Dr. Jera Marie Oporto yesterday afternoon over the phone for this error whose presidency was in 2005. I also would like to extend my appreciation to Dr. Nida Ygnacio-Nemenzo, who like me is a Past President of the chapter for calling my attention to the error. I hope this will erase any doubt about the issue and put the matter to rest. Thank you for your kind understanding. I decided last night to post this erratum and apology before I went to bed but apparently it was not posted. So I am re posting not in the exact terms I used last night this erratum for those concerned to know my sincere intent to correct the mistake.
