Yesterday, Mary Fallin released 31 documents regarding her rejection of Medicaid expansion because she is ‘committed to transparency.’ If that’s the case, then why did she fight the release of these documents for over a year and claim ‘executive privilege’ - which doesn’t exist in Oklahoma? These documents contain little discussion about how Medicaid expansion would help Oklahomans; they show Fallin and her staff cared more about the political impact of their decisions. A governor cannot carry out the best interests of Oklahomans when the number one priority is how it will impact her politically. Thousands of Oklahomans who are suffering due to a lack of accessible health care are paying the price for Fallins poor leadership. How many more decisions made by this administration have been based on political calculation rather than what is best for all Oklahomans? Oklahoma deserves a strong bipartisan leader who will evaluate policies based on facts and what is in the best interest of Oklahoma. Read my full release below!
