Yesterday, Sunday February 2nd, 2014! The Police have once again disregarded and violated The very essence of Human Rights! The killings and the injuries inflicted on Youths, most of them under age, the storming in, of armed Police with their shoes at Masjid Musa, stepping on carpets where prayers are conducted, a place very dear and sacred to all Muslims, is a very big blunder and a dark stain on the Police Force! We condemn in the highest terms this Inhumane act! At the same time, we are not in any way abetting acts of Terrorism! But the Government has failed in its mandate to come up with a strategy to handle this predicament! We are very sad with what transpired Yestarday! We sincerely say sorry to all those who have been injured and lost their lives! Using force is never a way of dealing with any problem, but rather, deteriorating the situation! May the Almighty Allah bring Peace and tranquility in Mombasa and the Country at large!
