Yesterday, a friend came to my house to look at my computer to see what was wrong...he spent about 5 hours deleting programs that were running. There were so many of them that the computer was clogged. Wow...what a difference! There is virtually no time spent waiting for the computer to take me to the desired destination now. Lesson learned: when you load a program, it continues to run indefinitely, even when you think youve closed it. This computer was a wedding gift in 2005, so anything we loaded from then until now was still running! Whew!
