Yesterday, a friend of mine asked my, why did my parents named me - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, a friend of mine asked my, why did my parents named me Rosetta. She said, a name like Rosetta is a “Krio” names. I never thought my friend has conservation to my name. I said to my friend- I believe the “Rosetta” name like any other Name, is more European, or English, a language of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, some West Africans and several other countries. As long as you can read, write and spell your child’s names to the best of your ability, you have the right to give your child any name you want. Having said all that, I think the best question could have been “why did my parents give me an English name” instead of a traditional name? My Facebook Friends, what names are considered to be Krio names?
