Yesterday after a concert, a woman approached me, held my hand firmly and with tears in her eyes thanked me. She said listening to my show brought back so many memories for her that right then and there she made a big decision. When I asked her what that was she told me she was 87 years old and born in Berlin, Germany. She moved to Canada many years ago and had a hard but fruitful life. She told me that right there and then she decided to write her memoirs in a book and tell her story. “Life is what you make it” she said to me. We both agreed that should be the title of her book. These are the moments that make me so fulfilled as a musician that I feel compelled to share this story with my friends. Thanks for sharing your story with me Alice... I’ll be looking out for your new book!
