Yesterday and last evening provided the Queen with the time and - TopicsExpress

Yesterday and last evening provided the Queen with the time and company she needed to recuperate and her symptoms were beginning to get under control by bedtime. She slept twelve hours, was up for five and then back to bed for another three hours of sleep. By the time the rest of the New London clan had arrived she was in less pain and seemed less stiff. At the same time the bad weather of the previous day seems to have scoured out the atmosphere and a good northwest breeze from about 10:00 a.m. yesterday on has made for wonderful sleeping with the windows open. That has also contributed to her recovery. It still didnt stop us from listening to some more good music off the iTunes and from the web. We also learned of a deep and important message tied to one of the really good songs Anthony Gomes performed during his set. Toward the end of his set he sang one of his compositions “Darkest Before the Dawn.” Upon arrival home I logged into the Anthony Gomes website and was surprised to find he had just released a video linking the song to the cause of child homelessness. The video, found at https://youtube/watch?v=FKDVROZcITU&feature=youtu.be, is so touching and the message so powerful. Thanks for sharing the song, Anthony, and linking it to this cause. But after reading over the lyrics the song will apply to this blues fan sometime in the near future and the words Your words keep my strong Through my darkest day Even though youre gone baby I can still hear what youd say will hold an equally powerful meaning. His donation of a Peavey guitar and a Steven Tyler Hohner harmonica helped us raise a significant amount of money. His band, East of Omaha, will be playing at the Burlington Blues Festival September 13. If you are a blues fan and can make it to that festival go up to him and tell him “Thanks!” His support is most appreciated. Have a good day and more tomorrow.
