Yesterday and today I was helping Jenny move stuff from her old - TopicsExpress

Yesterday and today I was helping Jenny move stuff from her old office and lab to the new. In an idle moment, I picked up a piece of rock from Burnmouth and started preparing it. Quite quickly, I found a small piece of bone. As the day progressed, each time I had nothing to do, Id do a bit more prep, exposing a little more of the bone. Same today, but this morning as I worked at it, I started to see anatomy, so called Jenny over. Turns out its a small, tetrapod jugal bone. The jugal forms part of the lower rear margin of the orbit, and this one is quite different from all the others weve found so far, and is very likely new to science. Sadly, you cant tell much more from a single bone, but even so, Im chuffed to bits!
