Yesterday at 7:37 p.m., Lancaster Police, Town Line Fire Department and Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to a residence on Rose Street in Lancaster, after a 3 year old girl and her 4 year old brother were found unresponsive in a back yard pool at that address. The children had been pulled from the above ground pool by family members. Police and E.M.S. personnel performed C.P.R, at the scene and the children were transported by ambulance with police escort to St. Joseph Hospital in Cheektowaga. Resuscitation efforts continued the entire time. The 3 year old girl was pronounced dead at 8:37 p.m. last night. The 4 year old boy was later transported to Women and Childrens Hospital of Buffalo, where he is listed in critical condition. No names are being released at this time. Lancaster Police are continuing their investigation into what happened.
