Yesterday, during prayer I received a second revelation from the Lord. I saw a picture and on the bottom of the picture, a subtitles (as one might see while watching a foreign movie) The subtitle was a scripture from Matthew. My reflection there was that subtitles are generally used to cross language barriers, to carry the understanding of a person in relation to the picture that is being viewed. The Spirit does the same thing. I had noticed yesterday how the Spirit added understanding to a thread of reflections from the day before. My scale question was about the observations made by the natural man. I first looked at the meaning of the word “observation”: “The action or process of observing something or someone carefully or in order to gain information.” Scale question: Why is there an ongoing need to bring all carnal observations under the inspection of the Spirit of the Lord? I had noticed that all “slight” observations allowed was like sticking one’s toe into a bed of quicksand. As one assumption leads to another, each assumption (view from the natural man’s perspective) draws one further into more assumptions. Here I could see again the ongoing need to bring all carnal observations under the inspection of the Lord. Just as subtitles assist one to follow a foreign movie, the Spirit assists our understanding. What was born in the soul while we were prisoners in the kingdom of darkness is the foreign matter (fruits of iniquity). The language the natural man learned to speak to express self, centered on expressing self from the depths of iniquity. The Holy Spirit, when assisting to make new habits in Christ, brings a new perspective. The Holy Spirit confirms Christ in the record of His truth and thus guides our understanding according to this pattern so that our understanding conforms to His divine tutelage. #s8w #apostlestoday
