Yesterday evening one of my friend called me stating Gulab ke nakhre se may pareshan hun you come and short out the remedy of die back etc etc. Today morning i visited his garden and found most of his roses are just fine but few of the particular varieties are really badly affected. As a whole the gaps can not be rectified for this season. There comes the selection process. We very often cant resist the attractions of latest in the market . But most of the varieties fail to sustain in long run. Somehow I find many of the older varieties are robust and trouble free. In case if you are growing roses for decorating a garden it is better to select those varieties which are trouble free. Only 10 appropriate varieties can brighten your garden. They dont have to be the latest varieties. My friend went wrong in that point. Rose cultivation will be more popular if we keep a record of the habits of each rose for the particular context. Instead we rely more in the description of abroad we should describe honestly in our context.
