Yesterday evening while sitting on my back porch having my usual beer or 12, I notice a pair of blue birds checking out my blue bird house which has been in place for about 5 years with no residents except two wasp nests. I became excited as the pair fluttered all around and took turns sitting on the roof and then going inside. Then they would sit on my pergola under construction and survey the area. This went on for an hour which gave me time to get my binoculars and get a close up of the couple. It was then that I notice a red bird with them and I assume he was the realtor from Crow Realty. My excitement rose as this whole scenario played out before my eyes. Well finally the blue birds told the red bird that they would have to think about it. The price seemed right to the blues and he told them that the place belonged to the Ingrams who were suckers for birds, cat and almost any other critter and they would be taken care of. Well the blue birds told red bird from Crow Realty that they had to leave because they were late for dinner with rockin robin and would get back to him later and let him know what they decided or look at something else. Red bird from Crow Realty told the blue birds that he was going to that party too but had no idea who was attending. Well, the blue birds told red bird from Crow Realty that the wise old owl and the big fat crow would be there flapping their wings singing go bird go so it had to be a great party. They flew off after that and havent been back today that Ive seen. I did check the house and it had an old sparrow nest in it that I removed because they have to build their own nest from scratch and will do so twice a year sometimes. I hope they come back. My Florida houses attracted tons of blue birds and I always was having to clean them because I used a sparrow from Osprey Realty who specialize in waterfront houses and those were painted. Well, outside for me to go on my blue bird watch.
