Yesterday in this very forum, two posts were made, and I see one more post on same topic. Why Nathuram Godsey Kill Gandhi? Was he a terrorist? Was he deranged? etc. Nathuram Godsey was neither a terrorist nor deranged person. he was very intelligent and stable person. He was a strong nationalist. 1.) His ideology and Gandhian ideology were at cross to each other. 2.) Nathuram subscribed to an ideology which most of us subscribe, what is politically called Violent State. 3.) A Violent State is a country / nation that subscribes to a strong central leadership / Govt., strong army, strong industrialization, strong currency, strong police, centralised & powerful judiciary, developed urbanization, etc. 4.) Gandhian ideology wanted strong rural Swaraj, panchyati raj, and a parliament having only advisory nature. No power of assembly or parliament to over rule decision of Panchayat. NO army, no police, no judiciary. NO one was to be punished, but given chance to improve. At max community service can be the punishment. No industrialized economy, but rural based economy with traditional based works and economy. etc. As Nathuram felt if this is implemented then India as a nation stands no chance to survive. To save the nation that he loved he took a decision to kill, that he knew as per his letters will give him defamation till eternity.
