Yesterday just for fun I went to the obamacare website to check it out after hearing a solid week of oh so positive press. Because I only wanted an estimate it didnt crash at all. That was the good news. Remembering the presidents promises of a 2500 reduction in cost and the ability to still see my own doctor I was cautiously optimistic. 30 minutes later I was pessimistically horrified. I currently have blue cross. A PPO plan. It costs me 68.00 per month. The cheapest plan quoted to me based on me being 50 instead of nearly 60 was 368.00 per month. Something like 5 times as much. This for approximately one third of my current coverage. And still from blue cross. President Obama has created a legacy with the affordable health care act (even the name is a lie) that will brand him as the biggest failure ever in the white house. America needed health care reform. What America got was a cure many times worse than the problem it was to fix. Thank God for upcoming election cycles. My goal is to weed out progressive incumbents of either party. Then pray I dont lose my current insurance and become another victim of obamacare. Only three years to go folks.
