Yesterday, many students at Knightsville Elementary School reported after school, that bathrooms had flooded earlier in the week, and that the drinking water smelled like sewage (probably higher than normal iron and sulfur content). Today, I was called by the school nurse, to pick-up Anthony Jackson because he had a stomach virus. Anthony tells me there were many children,throwing up in buckets at the nurses office, and that many more went home yesterday, with GI issues. Maybe DHEC should look at the water source, just in case the recent heavy rains have corrupted the freshwater supply or damaged the waste water/ septic sewer system at the school.
