Yesterday marked the retirement of Division Manager Marsha - TopicsExpress

Yesterday marked the retirement of Division Manager Marsha Withrow. Marsha has served the Division for twenty eight (28) years! Marsha not only performed her tasks as a telecommunicator and supervisor, but represented the Charlotte Fire Department on numerous local, state and national working groups and committees. These include: The Mecklenburg County Regional Communications Council (RCC), The Piedmont Area Communications Consortium (PACC), North Carolina APCO/NENA – Past President and the National Motorola Trunked Users Group (MTUG) – Current Secretary. Yesterday she passed the torch to TCIII Greg Hauser who was promoted to the new Division Manager. It was a bitter sweet day, full of celebration, memories and good-byes. We hosted a retirement drop-in at Fire Station 1 (many thanks to the 1-C shift for the all the help and fun). Many visitors from surrounding jurisdictions and agencies stopped in to say hello as well as friends of the division and many of our retirees. Marsha was presented with retirement gifts from the Division and she went on-air to officially pass the reins to Greg Hauser on the Main Alarm Channel. Congratulations Marsha and enjoy the retirement - youve truly earned it. You led this Division to what it is today - a Nationally recognized standard bearer. We love you and will miss you!
