Yesterday my little chef & I made French bread It was alright with Nana if he didnt want to wear a shirt, but we had a hand washing session that we could have done surgery with our bare hands. He was into mixing and kneading. That sun porch of Leigh Kellers makes the dough rise fast. When it was finally ready, I hooked him up with the roll out sheet (Tupperware, remember those) divided the dough & told him it had to be rectangular shaped. (He is all about shapes now) Only wish I could have put a video of him on here flour up to his elbows, working that rolling pin like a pro. AT one point said Nana does flour wash off? Showed him how to roll it and & tuck the ends in. Egg white washing was right down his alley too. He & I are going to have our own cooking show next year I think.
