Yesterday, myself and Sameer Rashid Shami decided to do some wide - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, myself and Sameer Rashid Shami decided to do some wide field imaging of Andromeda. We attached a Nikon D5100 DSLR on Sameers Celestron C8 (which was on a mount set to track Andromeda) and we used the following settings on the camera: Exposure: 30 seconds ISO: 100 f/5.6 (max zoom in of my 18-55 mm camera lens) We took around 17 exposures but soon realized the images started to get foggy because dew began to settle on the camera lens and had to stop imaging. I could only use 10 light frames here. Sameer then proceeded to take dark, flat and bias frames. I stacked these in DSS and here is the result. Im attaching a few different versions of the same image. I wont say Im too pleased with it. We should be able to get better results next time! :)
