Yesterday, one of our clients had their domain shutdown by Tucows, where they registered the domain. Tucows had sent out a message to the email they had on file, which the client no longer had access to, and subsequently SHUT DOWN THE DOMAIN for non-response. This must be a new policy but WOW, such harsh consequences. To further complicate things, Tucows, in their awesome business wisdom, does not offer any kind of support in the evenings or weekends. Were talking about a multi-million corporation that handles important things such as domain names and they dont offer 24/7 support? Were no GoDaddy fan but theyd be a better option in this particular situation.
