Yesterday, the Australian Prime Minister, Tony Abbott was due to fly from Canberra back to his residence in Sydney. I find it interesting that when the siege broke out and there was reports of 2 bombs in the cafe and 2 others in the CBD, the Prime Minister cancelled his return to Sydney. I assume that it was to protect him form possible carnage. If that was the case, why did they put others at risk and not stop all travellers to Sydney? I believe that Tony Abbot should have returned to Sydney as soon as he leaned of the siege to support not only the police, but also the onlookers and more importantly, the hostages. My favourite quote of all time is from the second Star Trek movie,The Wrath of Khan. The needs of the many, out weigh the needs of the few, or the one!
