Yesterday, the University Senate Executive Committee gave the Academic Procedures & Policy Committee the specific charge of addressing the needs of students who serve in the military reserves and miss an exam when called into active duty. The committee asked for a report by Sept. 19th so a policy change can be enacted in time for fall exams. Currently, there is no policy in place to protect a students right to make up an exam they missed when temporarily called into duty. Student Senate is pleased with this progress and we thank the students who brought this issue to light!
