Yesterday this dog was sitting in a cage, literally minutes from being euthanized. We were at the shelter picking up dogs we had already committed to and were so sad we did not have the space to bring this boy. This is a high kill shelter and they had a long list of animals scheduled to lose their life. This one was special. One of the shelter workers begged us to take him, said he was incredibly sweet and would be an amazing dog. We were going to have to leave him. Every kennel is full, every foster home is full, we have no space. Then, as a last attempt, she said she would beg her husband to at least let her foster thru the weekend. We agreed that if she would foster until Monday, we would do everything in our power to find a place for him in our rescue. So she brought him home and is calling him Bolt. So- WE NEED HELP! We must find a foster home for this boy!!! He is an awesome dog! Loves her other dogs and is house trained. Saving his life will do more than just save one life, it will give this amazing shelter staff member the inspiration and drive to continue saving lives!
