Yesterday was Land Day, marking the anniversary of the killings of 6 Palestinian citizens of Israel in 1976. My friend Asel Asleh wrote an essay about Land Day that he entitled Peaceful Thoughts. In memory of Asel, who was himself murdered at the age of 17 during the events that became known as Black October, in memory of the other victims of Black October and Land Day, and in protest of ongoing killings, I offer you this video: people from around the world, reading Peaceful Thoughts in the beauty of their own language.
