Yesterday was Neonatal Intensive Care Awareness Day, and that - TopicsExpress

Yesterday was Neonatal Intensive Care Awareness Day, and that always touches my heart. Some of you know already but my precious Baron was born 14 weeks early and only weighed 2 lbs,14 oz, and dropped to 2 lbs,5 oz. Unknown to me, I had an infection growing inside of my body and eventually it would of ruptured and killed me. When I became pregnant, the tumor grew faster and Baron was laying inside of toxin. He fought his way out and saved my life. He wasnt supposed to make it and the first 24 hours were crucial. He was placed inside the NICU unit for months and fought every day to be here. He couldnt breathe or eat on his own. He had an emergency blood transfusion, needles constantly, and all he could do was try and fight. As a parent, I couldnt hold him, feed him, or do anything but just sit there daily and pray. I could feel God and my parents spirit right by my side. We had prayers coming in from all over, heartfelt gifts sent, and when you are brought to your knees, remember God is always there. The Head Honcho at St John NICU even asked me to be a speaker there for Preemie parents becuz he said I was so positive no matter what was going on. This memory of Baron will remain always fresh in my heart becuz everytime I look at him, I personally see a miracle and what God can do!!! I still cry when I look at his newborn pics, just like I do when I write a status about it. The power of Prayer is amazing!!! I am such a Blessed Rockstar!!
