Yesterday was a day I will never forget, as I,Jason Jones, was the host speaker for the Keziah Jones Foundation. I am not always there to see day to day operations, as I live over an hour away from our main operations center. I was truly humbled by the response and stories I heard from our supporters, sponsors, and most importantly our clients, that were on hand. I know my sister Jennifer would be proud of what the foundation had accomplished in her memory, in such a short time. I listened to one our clients share her story on how the foundation assisted her, with her sisters case, and the struggles she faced with her mother having cancer, then she herself was diagnosed with cancer at the same time. To listen to this story and how she put her own health and well being aside to tend to her mother is what life throws at individuals that battle cancer, and how this individual dealt with her life is what makes us want to assist as many people as we can. I did everything under my power to keep from crying while listening to her share her story. I will say, as this lady has known our foundation from the start up, and she said yesterday she feels like a part of our family is what makes what we do, so rewarding and humbling. I am so blessed to be a part of what we do, how we do it, and to treat these individuals and cases like we are a part of their family and we do care on how things progress as they battle against cancer. So if you are reading this please know that we are here to help and assist as many people as we can. For the remarkable lady mentioned in this post, you know who you are, I must say this, you are truly a fighter and survivor against cancer, and I am blessed to have met you and been able to stand next to you yesterday at the awards table. Thank you all for your support and allowing me to be part of such a great foundation. Love and Light.
