Yesterday was a rough day and I really really wanted something - TopicsExpress

Yesterday was a rough day and I really really wanted something sweet. I went into Panera to buy a water and they had an M&M cookie looked SO good. I resisted, though, because I didnt want to associate being in a bad mood with eating sweets and for a lack of a better term, eat my feelings. Instead, I went to the gym, trained legs, did cardio & had some fun on the monkey bars. Im not exaggerating when I say within the first five minutes of my workout, I literally felt the endorphins rushing through me and I started to feel better. I finished my workout in a completely different mood than when I started. I went home, made a delicious, healthy dinner (salmon, brown rice & green beans), had a glass of wine and later went out for some fro-yo. When youre not feeling your best, dont delve into sweets. Instead, delve into a workout or another activity you enjoy. Get yourself back into a good mood and if by then you still have the sweet tooth, by all means have a little something. Lessons learned yesterday: -I need to learn to change a tire -its best not to turn to food when youre upset -bad days make for good workouts
